Anyone ever get tanlines from painting yourself????

Post by a_better_man_now on Thu Oct 03, 2013 11:39 pm

So, at the last PPF event that i did, I had a long wait for my first face canvasses, so i decided to paint my arm just with some little pieces. I'm new to face painting so i don't have a big ol' tent yet, just a nice big patio style umbrella that shades my table a little. It was really sunny and warm that day, and i painted this design on my arm in the morning. [img][/img]

by the time the day was over i'd gotten a pretty good amount of sun, and i tan really easily as Im part native american. well...as i wiped off the paint with some wet wipes i realized that i now have tan lines of this design on my left arm. LOL

good thing is, is that its fading now almost a week later.

Oooooh, yes, I have those all the time. When I'm at a job, and it's quiet, I always paint on my arms. Usually I paint little butterflies, flowers, swirls and so on....
I tan very easily, so when I'm outside I have a reverse tattoo of my design for a while, I think it's hilarious Very Happy

creabella, sadly no, i didnt take any photos of the tan lines. at first i was annoyed and then i thought it was kinda cool. reminded me of that fad many years back when tanning beds got really big and all those people were wearing the stickers while tanning so they had the image in untanned skin lol. but luckily, like i said i tan pretty easy, so a little more sun and it evened out almost...you can barely see it now if you're looking for it.

The best ones are on the face. I went a week with a leaf pattern burned into my cheeks.
