Oh dear.... Giggle

I'm sorry - I didn't drop the box but I did leave it here as I had to leave for just a little bit. I promise I left the box securely closed with all the creatures inside - a good selection of critters too I must say - all found in my backyard! :-)

Great idea Jynx, will help you in a moment... After I know where that *piep* box is, and I can come down the cabinet.

Dearest erica21,

What a really cool spider avatar you've done! It is so clean. crisp and precise.... and, thank heavens, not real.

Kammy thinks I'm being naughty and dancing on tables when actually I am up here because I am terrified that the creepy crawlies have somehow escaped and are heading directly for my target tramp stamp.

Peoples of the Cafe; if any snakes or creepies escape we are NOT keeping them as pets!

I'm not quite sure that box was quite as secure as you think Erica! Something furry just crawled across my leg, hang on a tic and I will get a jar before Kammy comes back .  , do u  think its a funnel web, looks pretty deadly

OH MY GOODNESS!
I leave for a minute, come back and there are people on the cabinets and everyone's looking scared!

Sigh.

Tsk, can't leave you all alone, it seems. I'll just have to install myself in the corner with a cup of tea and a cookie. Laughing

Staging tests tomorrow! I get to glow for 24 hours from the bone scan alone....yay me!

Creabella wrote:That's right! You are always glowing!

Not as much as I thought I'd be. They're all routine, even if they are pretty extreme and in-detail. I won't get any results until next Tuesday, when I'll find out more details on the grade/stage of cancer, what drugs/hormones worked on the biopsy samples, whether there were any abnormal cells in my lymph nodes....or anywhere else for that matter.

Now THAT meeting, I'll be nervous about. It gives me palpitations just thinking about it...and I'm not supposed to be put under any stress at alllll right now. Which is kinda ridiculous, really, given the circumstances.

I think tomorrow's just going to be exhausting, because it'll be such a long day. I need a full bone scan (or as Matt put it...GLOWBEAN TEST!!!), full-body CT scan, chest x-rays, abdominal ultrasounds and detailed blood tests. My friend is driving me there, then between/after tests I'll go into Maggie's Centre (the local Cancer Caring Centre, gorgeous place even in awful circumstances) and rest, and wait for him to pick me up at the end.

OK. So maybe I AM a bit nervous, now I think about it.

Oh, Kammy.... You'll get through that day tomorrow, with all it's tests.
For about the glowing part... I tried to read a book with it, bit it didn't work. I was not glowing enough.
Next time I complaint about that, but they wouldn't make me more glowish.

In spirit I'll be at your side tomorrow, picking on the nurses, to make sure they're SUPERnice to you (because those nurses and doctors usually are very kind and nice already) giving them my special 'stare' so they'll not hurt you or make you feel uncomfortable.
Tell them: l!zzie's watching you, so better be nice to me!!!

I made one of these for my grandmother who was in the hospital healing a broken leg. She loved it! I recommend it to anyone spending any length of time getting better Smile

Re: Kammy's café

Post by Kammy on Thu Nov 21, 2013 11:02 am

Had all the tests and just arrived back home. Annoyed that I can't curl up with Cian, but the radioactive stuff will be mostly out of my system by tomorrow and I can resume snuggle duties then. Very Happy

Obviously only a cursory peek has been given to today's scans so far and we won't know anything for sure until next Tuesday's big results/treatment meeting, but....the initial feelings about them were good. My liver and kidneys looked normal on the ultrasounds, for instance. The big honcho dudes (that's an official medical term, y'know) need to look at them between now and Tuesday in my case meeting before we know anything for sure, though.

Right now, I just want to curl up in a ball with my comfort blanket (yes, I'm 40 and I have a comfort blanket, wanna make something of it???? Laughing ) and read a book. I had some lunch, but now my appetite is completely wiped out again.

Aww, now my cat wants to sit on me for cuddles, and she's doing big, sad amber eyes at me because she can't! She's going to hate me!!

Thanks for all the lovely thoughts, wishes and smiles.

A Slightly Sleepy Kammy xx

Dearest kammy,

Perhaps tonight you can turn all the lights off and run around naked as you glow in the dark. cyclops

Or sneak into a castle and repeatedly walk by windows tonight, making everyone think they are seeing a spectre. affraid

Just trying to think of ways for you to enjoy your shine while it lasts! clown

Trust me, you are not the only one with a comfort blacket!

In times like this, or even when it is 'just' cold, there is nothing so nice as a comfort blanket, that very interesting good book, a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and the sad puppylove eyes from your pet or child.....

Take a goog night rest, relax through the evening, let your hubbie pamper you,you deserve it !!!
