I agree, l!zzy. They aren't the same at all.
And I never had the experience of knowing my own body was trying to kill me.
It's two different scenarios entirely.
I don't think you are being snappy, either. Someone who has never been through what you and Kammy have experienced, couldn't possibly know.
I was just sharing my experience with my surgery and how it made me feel, in the hopes that she will know that beauty isn't found in our bodies alone. And real love is unconditional.

We dooooo! We have an AMAZING Italian ice cream place in town, but....it's hard to find butter pecan ice cream in the grocery stores here! The few times I've been over the Pond, I've tried to make up for it. Wink

Dearest Kammy,

I am so happy to hear you are not without decent ice cream. I'd send you some butter pecan but I don't think it would survive.

I think we had best offer it as a staple dish here at the Cafe - should go nicely with a side of cookies!

That certainly was pretty random.....and it made me giggle uncontrollably for about 3 minutes. Laughing

I guess that's the poster on the wall in the cookie corner, then.

Two huge things I wanted to say, though I've already said the bit to Ella via FB:

Ella - thank you again for the gorgeous package of herbal teas and sweets that you sent over from Holland.  It was totally unexpected and really did make my day.  The fact that you'd addressed it to "Kammy's Cafe" (and then my name) was so funny because it confused the postman and I couldn't stop giggling.  Very Happy The handmade card is just fabulous.

Andrea - the very next day, your beautiful card arrived!  Thank you for the lovely things you wrote in it, they're so sweet and made me cry....but in a good way.  Smile  It was very kind of you.

I've had a couple of days with moments of fear kicking in, something I'm really not used to so find it hard to handle.  The surprises, whilst unexpected and unnecessary (friendship really is enough of a gift!), have really taken my mind off things, and I'm very grateful.  THANK YOU.  flower

It's been a long time since I visit the forum, so it's sad to see this thread with bad news about Kammy.
On the flip side it's also heart warming to see the love and support the people on this forum offer so genuinely....warms my heart to see so much kindness:heart:
Kammy, sending you hugs and praying for your healing.
