Rules or Do's and Don't to display during an event

Post by ssshaffstall on Sat Nov 16, 2013 10:02 am

Does anyone have a list of general rules of do's and don't that they display that I could get a copy of like ASAP? Thanks in advance. You can email me at ssshaffstall@gmail.com

There are threads on display signs, disclaimers, signs, etc. if you take the time to look.

People don't read them.
I post them for my own amusement.

I have a "Please look, but don't touch" sign right on my table of paint. Nobody reads. Any signs you post, as Fessy said, are strictly for your own amusement and inner eye-rolling.

I needed a "Please don't leave half-eaten sausages on my table" sign yesterday.  Pretty sure the people who leave half-eaten sausages don't read signs though. scratch

Or the dregs of a wine glass of red wine WITH A CIGARETTE BUTT IN IT!!!
I had to yell that.
I don't mean to offend anyone.
It's just that I felt SO offended.

Or cocktails- why pay $12 for a drink then leave it on my table? think they must be track to be the parents  that leave 6 unattended children at my table with sticky candy and milk drinks in a few years. scratch I am sure there has to be some un- investigated relationship between the two.

I stop painting and tell them ALL to take their stuff OFF my table. As if it gets bumped, and it will, their crap will spill onto my EXPENSIVE kit, display, make-up, etc. and I will expect them to reimburse me for it.

I won't start painting again until they remove it.

ALSO, I do not let them take my wipes and/or tissues.

OR put their S*H*I*T in MY small trash container.

I have resorted to keeping my wipes behind me or under the lip of the table on top of my kit trolley which is pushed underneath, usually beside my trash bin.

I label my wipes with the word ANTHRAX.
Nobody takes my anthrax from me.

I once found a small child with its bum stuck in my trash bucket despite my labeling - It's amazing what people throw away these days Wink

At the same chichipoopoo yacht club event with the cigarette butt in the emptied glass of red wine on my kit... a little girl emptied her large plastic glass of 7-Up or Sprite into my sponge bucket of clean sponges.

NutBar in training.

she probably just needed an empty container for her mums cigarette butt.

I remember walking into the doctors office once and he had a look of shock because he told the patient he needed a urine sample earlier that day. They instantly got up filled the little jar over his garbage bin with the rest well going in there - it was woven cane type by the way...

nutbars are not just for face painters, sometimes they seek medical help but like anything they do, that too can be complicated.

I feel NutBar Ladies are people who have not been taught very well by their parents, are ill-mannered, and are unaware that others around them have any thoughts or feelings.

maybe back to the signage issues... Face painter has a nut intolerance and not the peanut variety either- no one reads them signs anyway, I have 5 languages on mine about: the not putting thing on the table, wipes and the rubbish bin several others like good manners zone, unattended children and its A3.
I was told by the guy at the shop (not a customer they don't read them) that my Vietnamese said if you put stuff on table you will die. lol

I can't stop laughing, I'm dying! Sadly for some Darwin Awards are inevitable, no matter how clear the warning label.

I actually prefer using Daleks... EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! Has a really nice effect on the line... although it is difficult to recharge them... hard to get adapters to fit their outlet shape.
