Sample Service Agreement?

Post by Dana Bee Creative on Sun Jan 10, 2010 4:42 pm

I am looking to add a service agreement to my site as soon as possible, so does anyone have a sample one they would be willing to share? Don't worry, I won't copy it word for word.

Do you mean a contract with your terms and conditions? If so, email me at metina@swirlycurls.com and I will email you mine.

I too would like to have a sample of a contract of some form. I had a birthday party scheduled and she cancelled the day before because of the weather and is going to have it at a pizza place. She said they will not allow me in to face paint. What is so upsetting is not because she is having the party at a pizza place or because of weather , it is that she told me she really wanted me and I had someone else ask for that day and I told them I was booked. Live and learn right.

Yeah, I had a similar thing happen last weekend. I got a last minute gig for Saturday afternoon. Since it was a day away I didn't bother with the deposit etc. I said I'd just have them pay for it all the day of. Well I turned up and they looked shocked and said I'd called and cancelled so they'd scrambled and found another entertainer. I hadn't called, but one of the other facepainters they'd called probably did to say they couldn't make it. So they assumed it was me. Since the science guy had a contract, they got to stay and I had to leave. As I left I didn't notice someone had parked behind me and I tapped their licence plate. So now instead of being paid for two hours of work I have to pay $50 to fix a licence plate trim. Yeah...lesson learned! They say they'll call me for their daughter's birthday in April, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Sigh.

I got my "terms" from another face painter in my area. You are more than welcome to check it out on my website under FAQ. I always ask for some kindof money down when I book a party. It might only be 10 dollars they had in their pocket, but its all they need to know the deal is serious. Also, have you seen those iphone/ipad credit card readers?? that just about blew my mind when i saw those! I might have to get me one for booking gigs while im out performing at restaurants! =D
