Small folding table

Post by pattyofurniture on Wed Jan 08, 2014 1:22 pm

I found this small folding table at Walmart for $25.   If any of you need a small portable table you could take a look at these.  It at least works for me!

with supplies for sizing

Online has it buy two for $49

That is the 4 foot one right? I picked up one this summer. I love it though I will admit it is a little heavier than I anticipated on long walks. However it fits perfectly to grab the handle of my rolling case with the handle of the table so I really only "carry" my chairs.

I know this sounds like a crazy place to look, but Petedge.com has grooming tables, chairs and carry alls in a varity of colors. Groomers use the higher tables which could keep little fingers out of the paints. Not bad prices either. My dream set up is still the teardrop trailer.

My hubby has said with the amount of stuff I lug, he should build me a custom trailer (ie baby teardrop) to tow behind my Miata. Whether it happens or not I don't know, but I do know one thing: it will be fun painting it  Twisted Evil I saw those two tables at WM and thought about getting them, but wasn't sure they would be tall enough (I work standing with client in tall director's chair). Any input on how high they adjust to? Groomer's tables are a good option... except the price tag. Hard to beat the WM 2-table pricing. How high do they go?

Petedge.com has the grooming tables for about $50.00.

The other option for making your table stand higher is to cut 4 PVC pipes 12" long and put them on the legs. Of course, this depends on if you have a bend in the leg to keep the pipe from slipping all the way up.

I have two of these folding table in white and they are tall enough for me, but I am 5 ft. 2 in. tall. It stands as tall as an average table. It is adjustable. I never measured but I can go open one up and find out. But it you get your case ready in time you may not need the table now.

I have the 6 foot table that folds in half. Nice and long, but it is a heavy sucker! Most of the time, I don't need a table that long. Think I would prefer one of these. I love that face that the height is adjustable. Thanks for the info!

I recently picked this up on a deal http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00192JGDU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - I am converting my setup to a gun case, and I decided instead of adding legs to the case, I am going to keep this table. It's super lightweight, folds down small into a carrying case, and has room for the case, two smaller low tables, and under rack, hooks to hold things, even a paper towel holder! The top table height is perfect for me, as I paint standing up (I am 5'). I'd considered the 2-pack of WM tables, but I want less things to carry, and this is like 3-4 tables in one.  cheers

This is my roll-up aluminum camp table that lives in my van until needed for a gig.
Pro:
is lightweight
rolls into a bundle smaller than camp chairs
Large surface area
I keep a clean black sheet in my car as an impromptu tablecloth over this table...it hides my water jug, garbage container and slop bucket

Con:
Things can get stuck in the slats
Sometimes a misaligned slat creates a lumpy bumpy surface and my spray bottles fall down and rolls away
The "butt" ends falls off and the innocent looking slat is razor sharp.

Overall...I love it.

Happy painting!

I bought a rubber mat HD but not heavy enough that it can's roll up into that same bag that is for your table. It was $10.00 at Home Depot. It's 5 ft. X 4 ft. It can be cut with a utility knife to the size you need for your table. It would be strong enough so that the space between slats would not matter. It was rolled up in a 4 inch roll when I bought it. I love it.
