Newbie in Brisbane

Post by Flourishing Faces on Sun Feb 09, 2014 9:49 pm

Hi everyone.
My name is Camellia and I'm living in Brisbane in Australia.
I'm originally from Ireland but moved here 3 years ago.
I always dabbled in face painting with my daughter and her friends but used the liquid kind not the "good " stuff...  Mad
After watching a few fantastic YouTube videos that some of you have posted I decided to invest in some real face paint.
I'm still painting at home but practicing all the time.
I have a head to practice on (he's called Alfred) and I also took out insurance for when we have friends over.
I would like to develop my skills and hopefully start my own business.
I appreciate all the helpful advice and friendly tips that are exchanged here. It's great to see kindness and support on a forum.
Thank you for reading my intro and I look forward to posting my pics soon.  Laughing
Camellia.

Welcome!

A good way to practice too, is joining the " Tag You Are it" game we have in the general facepainting section !

Welcome to The Forum, Flourishing Faces!
There are collective years of wisdom in some of these threads. The search engine on this site is very....specific. If you want to search a certain topic, Google in your own search engine, as in.... facepaintforum best brushes
or
facepaintforum best paint
and you will cast a wider net of information.

There is a place to post and share your work to a kind, warm, non-judgemental audience in the thread Show and Tell.

If you go into your Profile, above, and type in your general location, it is easier for other face painters in your area to find you to split shipping costs and share paint orders, and to invite you to local Jams.

Happy Painting!
