FABAIC Road Trip!

Post by fesspenter on Thu Mar 06, 2014 11:34 am

Cat Cabajar and I are driving down together to FABAIC May 2014.
I have been stalking Cat for two years.
I met her in the women's washroom moments before we were both about to compete at the CHAC Body Painting Competition March 1st, 2014.
Yes.
I am a creepy stalker.

Moving ahead...
We are making plans to arrive in Ft. Lauderdale on Thursday morning, May 22nd. We are leaving Sarnia on May 20th. Are there any face painters who have a couch or a floor we can crash on not too far from I-75 on Tuesday May 20th in Kentucky/Tennessee. The only requirement (for me, Cat may be pickier than I) is that you are NOT a serial killer, and you adore face painting. You don't have to feed us (Our paint is made with food-grade colourants).

xoxo
So excited!

I don't have any idea where I-75 is, and I live near Memphis. If you are going to be close:
A. I am not a serial killer. (cereal, yes. serial, no.)
B. I ADORE YOU! (face painting, too!)
C. I have a camper I'd be happy to let y'all crash in. (not crash the camper.)

Dangitt!
I just googled I-75. That's WAY over on the other side of TN...
Offer still stands, though.

No matter what, rthling...
I have always respected and admired your artwork and your personality that comes shining through your threads on the FPF.
I am relieved to hear about the NOT a serial killer personality trait.

Well, I'm not sure serial killers admit they are serial killers on forums.
Just saying.
After all, Denise Cold met me at a restaurant. VEEEERY open place.
You just never know... affraid

The very first time I met Denise Cold, I was in the company of Elaine Day and Miss Ronnie. I think I can run faster than Elaine and Rhonda, so I was safe, if indeed, Denise Cold WAS a serial killer.
You never know.
It is better to be safe than StarBlended.
Wait...
I really LOVE StarBlends.

I am going back to my growly box, to eat more cookies.

What a fun sleepover that would be! I wish I could host you both! I will be flying out early on the 21st to go to FABAIC. I can't wait to meet you Fessie and see Cat again. Smile I had the chance to paint Cat at one of the jams last year and paint beside her during the body competition. She's a sweetie.

Hope you ladies find some colorful and safe (no serial killers) lodging along the way. Smile

You are always welcome to squat here as part of the "Face Painters' Railroad". You will know it is a safe house by the glittery butterfly painted on the gate.

But to confess, I am nowhere near your route.

I just wanted to chime in on a fun thread and also to contribute the information that I, too, am not a serial killer.

Just so ya know.

I do, however, have other annoying habits, that, taken collectively on any given day, might make you want to kill me.

Please don't.

The children in my area would revolt. They really like having their faces painted by a live face painter.

I am SO relieved to find out you are NOT a serial killer.
I was worried for a minute there.
Now,
I can go back to my cookies.
Want one?

Ummm ... I love you Fessy. I actually really truly do. But, I don't think our relationship has progressed to the I-will-eat-your-half-eaten-cookie stage. Well, perhaps it has. Perhaps. But certainly not to the I-wiil-eat-your-half-eaten-cookie-when-the-half-part-has-been-extracted-from-the-middle. And in light of the foregoing communication, if you doubt my love for a minute, please just re-read the text and see how many hyphens I have used for you this morning.

There's my love! Packed into each hyphen!

Hyphens are a sign of true, deep and abiding love. They are so darned hard to type on a smart phone keypad.
I love hyphens more than red roses.
I feel loved.
And
hungry.
Here is a cookie with a teeny bite taken out of it. I will do the honourable thing and just clean up the edges.

All right, then! Your cookie with the teeny pre-nibble is graciously and gratefully accepted.

Gee, Fessy. I will forever recall this cookie as a sign of our deepening platonic e-romance.

Enjoy your weekend. And your cookies.

I WILL have a fantastic weekend, JJJJJ!

Um...
I think I have hijacked my own thread.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming...
Cat Cabajar happily suggested we video doc our adventures in Painty Land.
I need a make up person.
And, a hair person.
And, a Cabana boy, to fan us and bring us tasty beverages.
No need to remove the brown M&M's... I will eat them.

WooHoo!

Oh my goodness, Luz!
What a generous soul you are!
We are staying at the hotel and sharing the room with a third artist. We are hoping to leave Sarnia on Tuesday morning and aim to be south of Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday night. Then we want to go as far as we can on Wednesday so we can be at the hotel before check in on Thursday. We will see as we go what our timing is like.
Are you going to FABAIC?

Re: FABAIC Road Trip!

Post by JJJJJ on Fri Mar 21, 2014 10:59 am

Hello y'all! I want to go to FABAIC! Wah wah wah!! I cannot! Not now, anyway. I am here, being busy, paying bills, caring for two kitties. No FABAIC for me this year. And if I went, I'd just spend my IRA on supplies I don't need but want and the addiction would continue (this was my year for turning into a one-time tackle tart!). Please note that I said "one time". I was truly stocking up, and not buying every pretty little one-stroke because they look like candy. (I'm off to my Fibbers Anonymous meeting right after this post.).

Actually, hello everyone! I have not been able to log on and post for over a week. An advertisement pops up right over the log in section, so I can't login. Maybe it's my browser, maybe not. But I've been too busy to look into it, so I've turned into a reluctant lurker (because I like to talk, and not being logged in makes me have to be quiet!).

Anyway, this morning, for some reason, I got on. So hello hello hello to y'all! If you don't hear from me for a while, I'll be in Lurker Land again. This is a great opportunity to poke some fun at me that I can't answer to.

Or to eat cyber cookies that I cannot ask to share ...

Enjoy that conference, all you lucky souls!

Dear JJJJJ:
I heard you sending me telepathic messages.
I responded immediately to the voice in my head.
As requested,
I mailed you all of our right socks.
Why did you request that?
Now, I will walk funny wearing only my left sock.

ah ... i am still here, little one ... still logged in as a legitimate forum reader ... my left foot suddenly got chilled and my computer called to me so i left the dishes i was washing and came and here was your message ... i am also in love with ellipses for the moment because they help my brain stay on idle and avoid the stress of accurately punctuating which should indeed be a verb if it isn't and if you were wondering and now i actually AM wondering, enough to engage my brain to employ caps and oh my! ... the caffeine was reaaaaaaallllllllllly good here this morning as you can see ... i thank you for the right socks ... it is always so difficult to find the right socks, n'est-ce pas? ... and to find good puns, too ... anyway, keep talking to me telepathically as the days go by because then you will have an excuse when you are caught talking in public ... but really, you don't need any excuses ... because you are Fessy ... the one, the only, the cosmically wonderful ... Fessy!
