I am about 7 to 8 miles off of I-75 in Ooltewah, TN. ..a suburb of Chattanooga, TN.
I won't have a spare bedroom (my mom will be visiting us at the time), but if you have sleeping bags with you, and don't mind dogs (St. Bernards...two) you can crash in the sun room (which has heat and a/c).
Let me know if it works. ... and I'll talk to hubby and see if he's okay too!

Dear Joshi and Krissiemarie!
Thank you so much for offering us a place to crash!
Joshi "wins" because she is closer to I-75.
We will bring down our sleeping bags, Cat has a dog and I adore animals. Let us know if the rest of your family is amenable to hosting us for one night. We would be arriving around 8pm on Tuesday night and leaving at 6 or 7am on Wednesday morning. We do not need to be fed... and, just in case I did not declare this before... I am not a serial killer, either!

St. Bernards are the best dogs ever! I've always been around bigger dogs.... doberman, boxer, etc. Growing up I spent more time with dogs than with humans! Not kidding! Smile

PaolaSunGlow:
Are you attending FABAIC?
Should we all wear yellow ribbons on our name tags/ wrist bands to indicate we are from the Face Paint Forum?
In the language of flowers...
Red roses indicate TRUE love
White roses indicate PURE love
Yellow roses indicate TRUE FRIENDSHIP.
I think tomorrow I will go and buy some yellow ribbon from the Dollar Store tomorrow.

Re: FABAIC Road Trip!

I have to shout this to everyone on the FacePaintForum... JOSHI IS NOT A SERIAL KILLER!
Joshi opened her home to Cat Cabajar and me for a night as a stopover to FABAIC. WE had a mini-jam pertaining to the BlastedUnicornMask. We all came up with something together that works for each of us. Joshi is amazingly gorgeous. She has a smart, precocious little girl who was extremely entertaining. Joshi's St. Bernard, Heera had a special bond with Cat. Brinkley the St. Bernard kept laying at my feet. I felt so loved. I was SO tired. We drove down to FABAIC. I never caught up from the exhaustion of being the sole driver.
We stayed at my brother's home in Kissimmee. We made it to FABAIC with 12 minutes to spare.
FABAIC was amazing. I learned so much. I met some fabulous people (Paola Sunglow, Katurah, Whitney Myers, Denise Cold, Affordable Face Painting's "Pat", as well as Lea Selley, Mehndi Masala Kim Brennan, Jodi Rife, Artful Elf. I know I am missing someone. I want to go next year. I will wear a yellow ribbon on my name badge holder to identify myself from the FacePaintForum. I cannot WAIT!!!!
I heard a rumour that Miss Shannon Fennell will be attending next year. I wonder if she will honour my trade of my hubster for her Diamond F/X? Should I warn Tim? Or should I just surprise him?

First I've heard anything about attending. Where did you hear that from??

And I've used up most of the DFX in question.... but I could use a good photographer.

Hah! I couldn't make it to FABAIC, BUT ... I just finished a non-stop day at a Greek Festival and they sent me home with an entire box of leftover loukimades. Now, leftover just means new loukimades that would have gone into the garbage at the end of the night. So, I just binged on fried dough with honey and cinnamon, and now I am going to bed. Take that, you lucky FABAIC attendees, take THAT!!!  Twisted Evil

Might be the cookies causing the hallucinations. I have no plans to attend FABAIC.

I do wish to go to other events but, unfortunately, with my mom issues travel of that sort is not in the immediate future.

But... we are going on a road trip to Calgary at the end of the month to see Cher and hopefully hook-up for a jam or something with the Calgary painters.... hint hint...

Fessie, it was wonderful to meet you. When you got up to talk @ the "Show & Tell" I was so excited. I'd been looking for you & had mentioned that I knew you were there to Denise. When you sat back down I kind of shouted "FESSIE" & waved both hands. You didn't hear me & the people around looked at me kind of weird. So I waited till it was over. Honest, I'm not a stalker or serial killer. I'm Pat Carney, AKA Nana & almost normal! This year I met, from FPF,  Monna, Whitney (we'd met in Feb w/Ms Ronnie), The wonderful Denise Cold & you. There were lots of painty friends from previous years & a lots of new ones.
A funny story about one FPF peep. I'd decided to attend just a few days (TH-FRI-SAT) including the "Intensive Class" w/Christina Davison on Thursday. Near the end of the class, I was standing behind one of the women on the other side of the room to observe Christina paint. As I looked down, this woman flipped her paint box closed & I recognized her signature roses. It was Monna!!!  Shocked
Agreed, let's all wear yellow ribbons on our name tags next year.

NEXT YEAR! NEXT YEAR! NEXT YEAR!

And while I'm at it.... I know it's busy season for everyone and I truly haven't forgotten - but I have to get my big ol' butt moving on JigantiJam planning.....

Fessy - your brother is in Kissimee and my nephew is there, too. My brother lives in Orlando - about a mile or so from Universal Studios.
