Hi, I'm Melody

Post by lovelyuntamed on Mon Apr 14, 2014 6:16 pm

OK, so my name is Melody Stella Fey. I love all art, but especially photography and body art.. I have never actually done face painting, at least not yet. However I'm very interested and would like to get into the business. Please give me all the tips and advice out there! Very Happy

Dear mstellafey:
Welcome to the Forum!
There are collective years worth of advice in these threads. Have fun reading! You will notice there are many different answers to each question...as there are many kinds of painters. Each if us try to answer in a deeply personal way, with no hard feelings when you try out another person's suggestions. This is a kind, warm place.
There is a game of Face Paint Tag in TAG YOU ARE IT.! There is a place to post and share your work to a nice, non-judgemental audience in Show and Tell.
At the top of this Forum is a colourful rectangle that takes you into the FacePaintForumShop. (I did not notice it for six months!).
A great way to introduce yourself to a wide variety of paints, brushes, kits, techniques, and styles is to get yourself invited to your local jams. Go into your Profile, above and post your general location, which makes it easier for other local face painters to find you and invite you.

Happy Painting!

My advice - only buy the essentials and keep your kit simple. The less you have to carry around, the better.
