Hi I'm Kim
I am very new to face painting and wondering how many of you are starting out later in life (I'm 48 and have a few health concerns) I am wanting to be able to get my name out there for some birthday parties mostly. Not really looking for the whole full day set up. Thanks to all! I even got a website but no Facebook page yet.

Hi Kim!! Welcome to the forum!!! (And welcome to everyone else here too!! I always forget to pop in here to say hi to new members! oops!)
Another older member here Kim.... a lot older than you as well!! I'm turning 62 on Saturday!!! Wish I had discovered face painting way back in my 20's.. but better late than never!! I've only been doing it for the last year, so I'm very new as well! I've been lucky enough to have a few birthday party bookings and paint at our local market once a month, so I'm more than happy with just that!! (Although it would be nice to do it more often for the practice! I am convinced that practice makes perfect in this job!)
Good for you having a website!! I've been working on one (wix.com), but not having a lot of photos of children that I've painted, it's a bit of a challenge!!
Anyway a big welcome to you!!! This is a lovely, friendly forum.. everyone is so nice and so incredibly helpful here!!!

Re: Hi I'm Kim
Thank you so much to all of you. I am scouring the internet and trying to paint my daughter and actually have done some day PPF events. Haven't made a lot of money but paid for my booth fee and fuel. lol Am being seen in my area and I am happy with my progress in being a better painter.

Re: Hi I'm Kim
welcome--no worries about age!!
In the new to facepainting section there are 'newbie challenges' a good little place to let you post what work you have done, or practice the challenge for the week.
Happy painting!!
