Saints Party

Post by squiggle on Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:06 am

We had a Saints party at my house for the NFC Championships tonight and what a fun time we had! It was THE most stressful football game I've ever watched but in the end, we won!!! I still can't believe we're going to the Super Bowl- GEAUX SAINTS!

Here's some pics of the face painting we did- these were done very quickly and not very professionally and everyone was having a ball doing it! Keep in mind, every one wanted to do a little but of painting, so these aren't all mine. Surprisingly, Savannah (my youngest daughter and the partner in my biz) didn't participate- she had guests and she's at that age where she didn't want to be embarrassed in front of them, I guess! Hubby wouldn't let me paint his face, either, or my oldest son, but the rest of us had a blast!

Thanks! We were up all night celebrating, along with everybody else in the vicinity. I don't think any kids went to school today! LOL The whole region is soooo excited.

That's the Wolfe gold... I ran out last night because everybody wanted to paint with it LOL I do like the fleur de lis my daughter painted on her face... I might have to play with that one a bit!

In similar news.... I was painting at a 3 year old's pink party... so everyone was in pink, faces painted, and cheering on the Colts. The men were Hilarious. Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow pictures, there was a limit to the devotion, but they were cute, and much celebrating was done when we won!

Can you spot the boys in this pic? lol

While I was cheering on the Saints yesterday.... today is a new day. Sorry, Squiggle.

Hehehe that's okay! My daughter's best friend is a die-hard Colts fan so the Super Bowl is going to be crazy around here! LOL!! It's all in good-natured fun Smile

We were so bad last night... a guy at our church is a die-hard Cowboys fan so last night at 1 in the morning we went to his house and decorated his yard with Saints stuff... his wife knew about it and sanctioned it (he owns guns and lives in the country so we didn't want any accidents LOL). According to his wife, he laughed so hard when he saw it but now he's planning his revenge LOL!

Woo-hoo!!!! Just got back from the Super Bowl party and man, was it crazy! When the Saints intercepted that ball, you'd have thought we had all won the lottery! Our pastors are from Chalmette and lost everything in Katrina, and they were bawling when the Saints won.

I BET YOU CAN FEEL THE CRAZY HAPPY VIBES ALL THE WAY TO MISSISSIPPI!! I visited my pregnant cousin there in MS and saw the mini lights spelling out WHO DAT on peoples' roofs!!! funny! I am happy for them! In New Orleans I never saw so much black and gold wear last Tuesday - they were definitely team proud and hoping to win!

Congrats Saints!
