A little help please!

Post by Lollipop_Painting on Wed Aug 06, 2014 2:51 pm

So, I'm new to face painting and I have made a huge mistake! A snazaroo paint slipped out of my bag and melted up on me... Now it very spongy like and looks plain gross. Any help on how I can salvage it or where to buy empty containers so maybe I can repot it.. confused

Mush the paint back sort of flat and stick it in the fridge or freezer. I did the same thing (sort of- outside party in 111) and that sort of set it back up.

I'm in the same boat trying to figure out the container situation- I accidentally dropped my Snaz orange and the lid and base cracked on me. Wondering if I could re-pot it in one of my empty Wolfe containers, and just line the bottom with saran wrap first so the paint won't eat the plastic???

Hopefully someone else in with more experience will speak to this...

Setting it in front of the AC, putting it in the fridge with a coffee filter on top will help. There shouldn't be a problem putting snaz into a wolfe containter I don't think, it might eat through the saran wrap tho

I think I remember reading in a thread somewhere that Snaz will eat through hard plastics (like the containers it comes with, but without the little insert thingy) but not through 'soft plastics' (like... those daily pill containers I think?) Has anyone had any luck with those milky plastic containers?

Thank you Andrea! I'm going to give that a try..

Keeping my fingers crossed.

& Snickell, I had no idea about that! I'm glad you mentioned that because I was just about to order some containers...hopefully we can get some insight as to what works best..

Always fridge.... never freezer.

Freezer will cause it to crystallize.

With Snaz, try to mix it up a bit before hand as the materials like to separate when melting. Pop it in the fridge for 20-30 min. That should do it.
