I just got me 2 sets. Getting them in the mail tomorrow. I was thinking what about duck tape to wrap the handles?

it would probably get wet underneath when you rinse the brush and eventually loosen the adhesive and slip off.

Noooooo. Don't use duct tape. Aryn used to put it on the tips of his bushes to mark them, and it SOOOO ugly. It starts to fray in no time and the glue collects all the dirt and lint in the world i swear. Eventually we cleaned them off and just dipped the tips in colored nail polish to mark whose brushes and whose. Looks way better.

But seriously duct tape is made with petroleum and fiberglass among other things; stuff you don't want getting into your paint water or your paints! If that wasn't bad enough the water will get under the duct tape in no time, and turns into a slimy mess, it will make your brushes butt ugly, and also people might think you watch too much of the Red Green Show. (which if you have never heard of it is a Canadian Comedy 'handyman show' about a guy who basically uses duct tape to fix everything.)

tempting though, now that duct tape (or "duck" tape as some call it) comes in colorful patterns Smile

I've been using the colorful rainbow duct tape to wrap some of my containers in to give them extra support. But they don't come into contact with water, so it's fine.

Gah after posting that Red Green 'handyman corner' video ive been marathoning all the handyman corner vids. They are just too funny!!!
