Post by tashasbowtique on Mon Aug 11, 2014 10:04 pm

okay! so this is my first post showing off my design lol! Remember I've been face painting for a WEEK now ... Almost a week...4-5 days...

so I made Olaf, and I think he looks a bit creepy and scary..can you help me where can I fix him? I know he needs a fatter nose.

thanks!

I think you did awesome!

(Just to make you giggle--I had a little tyke who INSISTED on BEING Olaf. I had not a clue how to pull it off--but did pretty good. Mom and Dad supported her choice all the way, even though I tried to explain... Her parents loved it. They were on their way to Disney on Ice with their older daughter, now "Elsa" & little "Olaf", who I am sure was imagining herself as pretty as big sister--until seeing herself in the mirror. She froze, not a watery eye, just a little lip tremor...and "take if off", with decisiveness.)

I will henceforth only do Olaf in cheek art. You rocked it!

its a good look alike! i think maybe the black outlining gives it a darker tone.

to counteract it, you might make sure the details are as exact as possible - the eyes are nice and big and round, the eyebrows curve down just a bit more, and maybe have the smile deeper. and his plumpness makes him seem harmless, too.

I've done Olaf a few times now...

His jaw needs to be a longer and on top of his body. It looks kind of like his head has been jammed down into his abdomen. When you do his nose, lay down a good round dot of orange and flick it outwards so it ends in a point. Also there are no lines in Olaf's teeth and both arms should be on the section of the body under the head. Lastly, Olaf's hair is made from twigs so don't use straight lines. Aside from that he looks really great!

Hope this helps.
