hiya from western aus!

Post by bubbleblossom on Fri Dec 19, 2014 4:38 am

Hi everyone!

I've been registered on here about a month now but not really been active so thought I'd better jump in!

I'm new to face painting. Been teaching myself for about 2 months so far here and there. I've done one practice job at my local playgroup, one paid job at a playgroup and have another coming up tomorrow at a festival :-) I really really enjoy face painting and it's been a great addition to our business which provides mascots and character performers for kids parties and other events. I have many questions so you may be sick of me within a week :-P

I find tear drops and neat lines the hardest part of facepainting and really need to practice this. If I could get that down, I'd be able to do my faces neater and quicker. Really enjoying this forum so thanks for having me!

hi and welcome, bubbleblossom.

you have discovered the bane of face painters - clean linework and details, lol. as you read posts on the forum, you will find a lot of info on the best brands of paint for linework (those that include paraffin wax, like dfx, wolfe, tag, cameleon), good brands of brushes, techniques, and practice practice practice.
