Thank You forum!
Not sure if its the fact tha I'm running a fever right now, but just felt the need to show some love!

Re: Thank You forum!
That's great Cabby- I love this forum too very supportive and great advice. I have made quite a few friends here. Nothing wrong with showing some love it makes the world a better place.
Re: Thank You forum!
Cabby started the Forum Group Hug!!!
This forum is the best I have found for openness, sharing, support, constructive criticism and just plain being awesome!
Also, being artsy types the "visual" aspect of seeing the posters' or their work in the avatar and gallery really makes it feel more relevant, connected and satisfying as you feel more like you get to know fellow artists. It really is a TREMENDOUS RESOURCE! It has been so rewarding to see the growth of so many members too!!
I second the vote- THANK YOU FORUM!! YAY! FORUM!!!

Ditto from me! This forum has been an amazing resource for me too. Thanks everyone for your willingness to share and help.
Re: Thank You forum!
This is a bit of an old thread, but I was kinda looking around to see where it would be appropriate to show some love.
This forum has proven to be helpful with positive and constructive feedback. I have not been thru all the posts, but I don't think I have found anyone being just outright mean. Very unlike another forum that I have been on.
It's comfortable here. You don't have to worry if you should or shouldn't post a comment in fear of a negative respose.
Thank you to Matina for this forum and to all the members for making this such a fantabulous place to share ideas and information. Also thank you for accepting newbies in such a positive light. I see "old timers" on the newbie boards willing to give advise and direction. It is very refreshing!! And I just wouldn't feel right being here without giving ya'll the props ya'll deserve!
In the words of Filmore in the "Cars" movie, "There's a lotta luv in this place man."

Re: Thank You forum!
I heard once that the best way to grow is to always have a hand reaching down to help & mentor people & always have a hand reaching up to people who are experienced & can mentor you. This is exactly what I think of when I come to the forum!

Love ya'll & the journey we're taking together!

Re: Thank You forum!
Ahh Thanks!
I will share something with you guys.
When I moved to England in 2007 I was very depressed. No friends yet, the weather was a downer and just the stress and drama of a huge move.
I was looking for something to keep me busy while we lived there. I went to a birthday party with my daughter and a professionall face painter was there. I was hooked!
There is a face painting group there at facepaintingchat.co.uk(check it if you get a chance. This group and all the local painters were the most giving and supportive folks I have ever met. So in many respects, facepainting "saved" me.
I decided when I returned that I was going to pay it forward. And...since there was no forum in the US like the one in England, I started one. (With the help and blessing of the other forum owner).
Thus I decided to create a "Nasty Free" zone for face painters to share grow and learn. Thanks for all your support!
