I totally love weird designs, most of all when I don't have a line lol.

The first one took like... 7min I think? I could have done it faster but we were gabbing since there was no line. Razz

This lady works at the market so she says she's going to give me something interesting to paint on her every week! I'm so excited!

Hi all! I'm new here, looking for a critique. I got stuck, how would you have jazzed this up?

I think it has a lot of beautiful detail already and you wouldn't need much in my opinion. You could always add a real gem between the eyes and some glitter here and there but I really think it's wonderful as is.The other thought I had was adding color to the lips to tie everything together and make it really look like a complete piece of art.

it's very beautiful as is Smile  i agree with mespo, if you want, you could add gems and/or glitter, and lip color, maybe with a few details on the lips that match the design.

Thank you, mespo and jlirie, for the feedback. I have a hard time recognizing "done." I feel like I could always keep going so I need to work on...putting the brush down, adding the finishing touches, and walking away!
I like the idea of details on the lips. Smile
Thanks, again.

Welcome to the forum QT78.

Please post in the introductions thread and tell us a bit about yourself.

As your your show and tell - not bad, good white coverage. Though a great tip I learned that helped my face painting get way better is "just because there is real estate, doesn't mean you have to use it."

Always loved that Hello Kitty. Very tight and mask like. Perhaps something to try for text time! Smile

i have that upupandaway hello kitty saved in my inspiration file, it's one of the best ones.

qt78, i like your blue bow version, nice to see some variation, as most people just copy the pink bow.

yes same here jlirie, i have it in an inspiration folder. I only hope for the day a little girl show is older then 2 asks for a full face 'Hello Kitty' so i can get a better picture like this for my own portfolio.

Any who, here is something I did on my practice head today, trying out another of my homemade stencils.

I never liked the gear stencils by BAM or TAP, so i thought of a different way to go about it by using the negative space instead, and made my own.

Wha-cha think?

Totally what I was going for, but i can think of many other designs to use this for. Steampunk jewelry is a great idea for this stencil!

This is sooo freakin' cool! Our County Fair is going with an old fashioned feel this year and I believe this was just the thing I needed.

Something you should brand into your head... The general rule with makeup is "Less is more". This design was executed perfectly.

I set up at a Relay for Life baseball tournament today. I decided to do ppf and donate a portion of what I made back to the Relay. Go figure, there were no children in sight for three hours so I packed up and left. But I did paint some things for my mother, who is a huge Pink Floyd fan. I thought I'd share Laughing

I was at the Relay for Life today. I had to get there early because my husband had to drive me during his lunch break, so I had a few hours of 'sit around and wait for things to kick off' time. (I didn't mind...  the Relay is very close to my heart).

But anyway I thought, "Oh! I can finally do something for that 3D animal challenge on the forum!'', because I got the dates confused. Embarassed Well, I'm too late for the challenge but I thought I would share what I painted here anyway. A lil mouse! One of these days I'll post pictures of actual FACE painting Laughing
