How fun is this?

Post by WheelieGood on Thu Apr 16, 2015 9:47 am

Hi all! I stalked around without registering for a bit, but tonight's my public debut as I'm painting at a fundraiser for my son's preschool. For free of course Wink
I am hoping to operate as a street performer in Chicago- we have a cargo bike and I plan to just do this when the weather and opportunity is good. I'd like to establish a circuit of sorts near some popular playgrounds or tourist sites. I have a 4 and 6 year old so I get lots of practice, but not a lot of time away from them.
Does anyone else operate in a similar way- i.e. not booking parties? I already own another larger business so it's not as much to learn this time around... and I am really enjoying the 'work' of perfecting a few crowd favorites.
I'm looking for a nice template and signage to use and am looking forward to meeting some of you.

the bike set up sounds cool! I would love to do that here at the parks during the summer. Take a pic for me when you get it all setup! Very interested.

I've put in for a vendor licence to do something similar this summer. I requested a couple of my kids favorite parks for my permit and I figured I could just set up and paint while they play Smile

It will cost me $10 a month for the licence. I figure I can paint at *least* 2 faces a month at a park Smile
