Dear Square Register, I love you...

Post by Doe on Mon Jun 22, 2015 1:29 pm

I wasn't really even thinking about it, but, I had my Square dongle in my purse when I got to my festival on Friday... well, it enabled me to take in $293 that I wouldn't have made otherwise.

GET A CREDIT CARD READER! It is the smartest free investment you can make, LOL.

So true! I showed up at an event recently where the other painter was offering all full face designs for $5. My board was $6 to $10. I just knew I was not gonna do well, but I did because I accepted debit/cards. Many people complain about the fees, but I don't mind paying $3. For every $100. I take in....and it's a write off anyway. I also have a big table sign that says "YES, we accept credit cards!". It helps so much to entice people who would assume that we only take cash.

yes they are pretty nifty.

I love it when some parent tries to get out of paying like at a farmers market when i don't have my main signs, and they say "oh but i have no cash on my, only credit card..."

No problem!

The look on their face is all the payment I need, mah ha ha ha ha!
