fat max happy dance

Post by Staley on Sun Oct 04, 2015 11:39 pm

I just ordered a fat max Smile  I've been wanting one for a while but didn't want to spend the money.  Today we had to buy a new fridge - then the fat max didn't seem so expensive.  I can't wait to try it out!

Love ours. We don't use it for face painting though, we use it for out Special FX makeup and small blood rigs. I love the big wheels most of all.

It should arrive today. I feel a little silly being so excited about a toolbox.

Haha, I was exactly the same when I bought mine! My husband was equally excited.... (until he realised it was for me!!) Hope it's as awesome as you imagined!

We used it at an event Saturday and it was great. My daughter and I were able to both work out of it, one on each side. One less table to haul, much less set up time Smile Now if I could convince my son that he does not need a 6ft table for glitter tattoos I could narrow down what we have to haul even more. But I don't see that happening soon. He likes the way it serves as a wall as well as a table.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I couldn't respond from my phone for some reason. I ordered mine on Amazon.

Love my fat max..I've had it for a few years now, and its held up so well! Def worth the money! I can work directly out of it in a pinch, but as I'm a messy painter, I still like a small table to spread out on in addition to the Max...that comes with having oodles and oodles of paint...plus, I make one heck of a mess by the end of the gig...Enjoy yours!

I believe if you google "rolling work station" you may find the FatMax.
I made a table top that bungees to the top of my FM. I scored it like the "Trivial Pursuit" board game, so it folds up into the bottom of my kit.

Mine broke after 5 years, I used to love it, now I have a guitar case that doesn't hold half of the stuff and weights 2 times more.

I am thinking about getting one to walk around with at large events, but I m concerned if the paints will start to melt or change if the fatmax is closed and in the sun. Has anyone had this happen or know if there is a way to prevent it. I was thinking about using ice but that could also melt and be messy.

Thanks in advance

Ice packs will work! Use 'em and refreeze and use 'em again! I have a fatmax and I have not had any issues with paint melting and such. I live in NY and we don't get too many hot days around here so no problem here.

Hi Fat Max Owners,

I was looking at a stanley fat max today and would like to by one. I walk down town to farmers market about 3.5 blocks and go over a lot of curbs and grass. I noticed the wheels on it are plastic. Has anyone had any problems with the wheels breaking, cracking or coming off?

Thank you

Snazzy
