Hello from Ireland

Post by premierfacepaintingirelan on Tue Jan 31, 2017 4:51 pm

Hi there.
I have a company in Ireland called Www.premierfacepaintingireland.com.
We have 10 facepainters and work at events all over the country.
This is the first time i have used the forum but i would love to know if anyone has ideas on the best no 2 or 3 brushes. My amazing local art shop over here has run out and cant get more!! When i have ordered on line they are not great
Normally too soft .
We are holding another workshop and i would need good brushes to advice the students.
I like my no 2 and 3 round tip to be synthetic, not too long, very fine tiped, and firm Plus . able to take a bashing as we do so many events so need them to last. Any idea🤗
Preferably close to home.or the Uk. Thank you

Hi and welcome!
My favorite brush is this flora brush:

Also, my daughter is an Irish dancer. Here's a picture of her leaping on the beach 2 weeks ago.

many face painters also like the loew cornell brushes with gold handles.

however, with a lot of use, even the best brushes wear out and need to be replaced.

you could buy one from several different brands and see how they work for you.

I love Loew-Cornell white nylon brushes, available here at the Face paint Forum shop. If they get bent/misshapen, just boil some water & dip in for 4-5 seconds ONLY to the ferrule (metal area). Any longer & you risk melting the glue that holds the bristles in place. After dipping the bristles in the boiling water, reshape by rolling your round brushes to a point or squeezing your flat bristles out between your thumb & forefinger. Works like a charm!

I visited your lovely country last June. All I can say is: we need to return!
