Anybody want to share a good lion or shark?

My little cousins keep begging me to do things like lions, sharks, dinosaurs, etc..., but I have no idea how to do them. Does anybody have a good step by step that they wouldn't mind sharing, or even some pictures that could get me started?

The lion is the cover of my book... Your Face or Mine and in that book there are dinosaurs, a wolf, leopard etc. Metina carries it in the forum shop.

Awesome sharks, Shannon. A little out of my expertise, though. The lion is great. I will have to see if I can work some money out of this month's budget to order your book.

Great stuff Suzy. I really like the dinosaur...I think I saw a similar tute on youtube one time, so I will have to go look that up.

Here's a super fast and easy shark. Start with grey on a flat brush. Add white to the brush and blend in stripe at the bottom stomache area to below the child's mouth. Add a grey fin over the stripe at the bottom. Add white teeth, and outline everything in black. Give some stripes on the side for gills and a 'mean' eye. Add blood on the teeth if you'd like. Super fast and effective!

oooh Catz, I love your shark. I will definitely have to try it, and Anita, your dinosaur is adorable. I will start working on these designs as soon as I'm completely recovered from today's endoscopy(long story).
I am trying to expand my design capabilities before a church event at Chuck E. Cheese's next month(ours is one of the few that have yet to be touched by violence, thank God). Hopefully I can master at least 10 different designs and put together a decent looking image board.
...I guess if I run out of designs I could always give them a cool looking scar, but hopefully I will have mastered enough by then not to have to resort to that.

Vivid...love the shark. Could you do a step-by-step on it? I'm trying to "upgrade" all my quick designs for the fair season and I love my shark but yours is more realistic so I want to see if I can do it.
