I don't like paradise because the smell makes me nauseous.. I only use snaz right now, but it can be tricky to get the black as opaque as you'd like sometimes... it takes a while to "warm up" to the right consistency. I'm just as afraid of wolfe/dfx as you are.

Funny how one experience can tell you all you need to know.

The Wolfe black has never stained me, and I use it all of the time.

I use shampoo to take it off..

Just rub around the shampoo over the face paint design(no water!) and once it's all good and covered, I use a warm wet washcloth to wipe it all off. Easy as that. Never had a problem with staining.. except for maybe the paradise yellow.

Everyone is different, but I've never had a parent complain (and I paint the same kids every week at my restaurant.. and they get Wolfe black on them every week!)

I put removal instructions on the back of my cards and give everyone one, I also put directions for removal on my website.

I like being able to tell them that the paint comes off with a diaper wipe.

well, Wolfe will come off with Wet Ones baby wipes.. but everyone has kid's shampoo(if they have a kid..)

My card states to use "tear free shampoo."

works for me.

cheers

I would not recommend baby wipes for use in the face. A lot have perfume and are to harsh for use on the skin there.

I've tried baby shampoo it did NOT work for me. Made a big smeary mess on me and my shower!!

For me, personally, taking it off with unscented sensitive wipes first, then soap and water works (except for around the lashes!)

This whole issue of removal is why I don't use Wolfe or DFX black or darker colours in my working kit.

I have Wolfe white, red and the UV colours, that's it. The rest is Snaz, Kryolan, Grimas, Fardel and Funky Foxes... and out of them the most that happens in lingering yellow/green/blues!!

I don't use Wolfe black at all. I do use DFX, but only on myself or other adults. I use primarily Snaz and Paradise on the kids I paint...my reasoning...they've never stained me, my kids nor my practice head, so I consider that to be my clinical trials, lol. I love the way DFX looks, but if you follow Shannon's method (like I do) Snaz can go on with the same vibrancy of color.

I was terrified of the wolfe/dfx paints, too and have been using Snaz exclusively since I started, but like Perry, I'm so dissapointed that I really have to work the Snaz black to get really dark lines, and that takes up valuable gig time in the long run.

When Metina came to my Woodbridge Jam last Sunday, I tried out the DFX, and I'm hooked! It went on SO smooth, with very little effort and teency fine lines on my peacock feather eye came out perfect every time!

Yup, I got black & white, delighted with the results! The black doesnt have to be worked with and goes on really dark & smooth, making designs go on SO much faster. The white goes on opaque and bright, even the regulars at my resturant gig noticed!

The neon mini really was a hit but I'm going to have to reorder sooner than I thought as it doesn't last like the snaz. Well worth it, tho ; )

Simply Delighted with DFX,
Susan

I'm a Paradise black user as well. And I use Snaz Black for my bases.

I also use the baby shampoo method like Ash.

So Lynn of Sparklynn Designs turned me into a tiger (pic from current illusion mag) at our late night jam and I accidentally fell asleep till the next day with it on! I removed most of it with bb wipes and then I just took an nice long shower and worked in a lot of lather of facial cleanser over my face. I also wash my hair 2x plus conditioner and work it in a bit as this helps get the blue/green stain (snazz) from my fingers...which reminds me I need to buy disposable gloves for long events! Here's a pic which was smugged while i slept

I keep snazz black in my kit for bases only and hardly ever use it. I try to use paradise on the kids line work -but love the crispness of dfx. When I want the most control I use the DFX.
I have directions on my card and on the web and always explain to the parent how to remove. I have never had anyone complain to me and I have repeat customers all the time.

Yes, I have this problem too with Diamond FX black and metallic blue, its extremely difficult to get it off. I can remove black (if I also remove the first layer of skin Razz) and the metallic blue stays like a stain for indeed about three days or so. While others tell me that works ok for them. The skin of my face is not very dry, but it definately has to do with differnences in skin type.
