Is face painting your main source of income?

Post by Judy on Fri Mar 05, 2010 12:39 am

Just wondering how many people on here are face painting for their sole source of income? How many fp as a second income, how many paint as a hobby?

It is my main income. The rest is bodypaint, temporary tattoos, makeup and a bit special effects =)

Mine is somewhat of a second income. I'm not actively pursuing jobs like I could, more for health reasons.

clowning/balloons/face painting are my main sources... I mean my husband works and makes ten times what I do so far, but I don't have another job.

Not me - this is my creative release from my corporate day job.

I still take it very seriously though : )

Its my second...or third income Smile . I have one part time job during the week soon to be adding one more part-time. I also sell canvas paintings, take any freelance art job that comes my way and also work for a doctor illustrating on-line educational cartoons/comics for his web site.

More for a hobby that will keep me sane amidst the pressures of college. But the extra income does help a lot.

My make-up business is one of several "jobs"... currently about 45% of my total net income annually.

If I wasn't doing it we would be in trouble.

It started out my secondary, but now it's my primary. I make more doing this than web designs and graphic arts

Painting is not my main source but one of many. I face paint, design tattoos, paint windows, murals, design logos, henna, nursing student, work with person with disabilities, organize events and hockey mom to 3 kids. Smile I would love it if I could do it full time, but carving that niche is difficult in my neighbourhood.
