A few pics from this weekend

Post by Clayton on Mon Mar 08, 2010 8:04 pm

This was supposed to be my Safari Themed party, so I had all these animal designs... I did 4 of them. I painted over 30 people in two hours, and I did 4 animal faces. And they were all on children under the age of 3. So, I am not posting those, because... well... let's just say my models were not too cooperative. But here are some that turned out pretty well.

Lovely!
Did you have a half face rule for time restraints?
I have considered doing this but haven't quite got away with it yet.

I tell them up front that my parties cover 15-20 kids in two hours. If they are going to have more then they have to get cheek art or single eye designs. If I show up and there are fewer people then I adjust accordingly. Also, I have a rules sign on my board stating that designs may be altered in order to assure everyone is painted. I even have used hand cut stencils, that I cut myself so that if I have to I can get 3 or 4 people done in a minute. I have only HAD to use them like that once, when someone had around 15 more children than was agreed to and I wanted to get them all something, so the last few minutes I just put them on with sponges.

You just CAN'T forget the glitter! That's the best part, lol. I put way too much on, but it just makes the little girls smile so much.

I get the stencil paper from Walmart. It's about $3 for 3 sheets. Then you print out whatever design you like and cut it out. But yes, I'll take some pics. It's easier to show than explain
