Come on baby paint my fire...

Post by Painted Dragon on Fri Mar 12, 2010 8:43 pm

At the wolfe brother's class, he taught us some flame tips. Even then, I was struggling with it. Tonight I found a couple of articles on drawing flames. Thought I'd share the links and my flames. BIG improvement over what they used to be.

Those are really good. My flames are in dire need of help, so I will definitely be looking at those sites. Thanks for sharing!

So, ironically, not five minutes after I read this post the other day, my mother, who is the youth leader at our church, and my little sister were discussing how to decorate our youth hall when my sister suggested that I paint a mural on one of the walls with the youth group's name on it. What is the youth group's name, you ask? "Youth Ablaze." And yes, they want me to include flames in the mural.
So not only did you help me when it comes to painting flames on faces, but you also saved my life when it came to the mural. Had I not followed those links, I wouldn't be able to draw flames at all. Now the rough sketch of the mural is almost done, and it looks awesome.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Kristal. You rock!

Nice links--thank you. Flames are NOT my strong suit. I guess I like symmetry so this was a great help
