Don't have an idea.

I am wanting to start doing videos on you tube. I have been thinking about it for awhile but I don't know how to edit videos. (speed up, edit out, make it look cute) Does anyone know of a program that does it or where I can learn how?

Most computers have a basic program as part of the package that comes with it. PC's have Windows Movie Maker. Something to try out for a start at least.

Or just make one and don't worry about the editing. The 3-4 I have up right now have no editing. I did have to start and stop on a few, but at least it will get the ball rolling for you. Sometimes the only way to get it done is to do it. Jump in and don't look back.

Another incentive for you is that I send goodies to all my youtubers when they make a balloon or face painting video and give a verbal and text shout out to the forum!

Like Metzpah said you could use Windows Movie Maker or for Mac use iMovie (which is what I use). Making videos is fun and by no means am I an expert at editing. There are a lot of people who just let the cam roll and don't edit at all. Keep in mind the 10min time limit though. You could always break the tutorial into parts.

I've also see people on youtube do "slideshow tutorials" of just pictures of the process. Then you really wouldn't have to worry too much about editing. If you do that you could use a site like onetruemedia.com to make a snazzy slideshow and upload it to youtube.

Ok Metina -goodies huh? I may have to start shooting ahead of schedule -it was on my list -but I looove getting new stuff to play with.

I've got 120 videos up on youtube, and I use Windows Movie Maker for each one. However, if you have Windows 7, you might need to downgrade the program to an earlier version. The new one is horrible.

I've used Windows Movie Maker for video editing. It's pretty simple and easy and I love it! I haven't really done any face painting videos however... perhaps it is time I did!
