I give out instructions 3 different ways when I do tats....

1- We bought a rubber stamp with short and simple care/removal instructions that we stamp on the back of our business cards. Its not much work...I usually stamp a bunch while watching tv. The stamp didn't cost much either....I love the rainbow stamp pad. jocolor

2- Sometimes I print the care/removal instructions on neon paper and cut them up to hand out (usually give these out to kids/teens). Its not like a huge full sheet flier...its more like the size of a business card. I also add my web site on the bottom in case they keep it.

3- While I'm spraying I just tell them about the tat and how to care/remove it. Smile

since we're now talking about biz cards, and I think that's a great topic because we all have to ask ourselves so many questions when deciding what kind of cards, what to put on them, where to print, etc...etc... The answers are really personal to each of us, and it's awesome that we can all share our input on something like that.
Anyway...In addition to my regular front and back business cards, and the instructional cards, I also ordered magnet cards. I figured, why not offer both? If someone decides on the magnetic card, I can assume that they'll likely put it on their fridge and hopefully see it regularly so they remember me come birthday party time. Have any of you tried magnet cards? How did you like them?

Yup, I did magnetic cards years ago (back when I was still printing my own...) and have to say that they did work. I sent them out in my New Year's Letter to past and potential clients.

One client told me she put it on her file cabinet and co-workers would say "Oh yeah, that was the face painter at the Christmas Party - my kid wants me to book her for their birthday."

So... well worth it. But, I would suggest being a bit selective with the magnetic cards if you have to pay more for them... leaving them out for the kids to take is a waste! Make sure they get into adult hands.

I got my cards from gotprint (or is it gotink?) anyway... I got some of the same design from Vista and they just aren't the same quality. My gotprint cards have the nice glossy finish and it would've cost me about $6 more to have the cards (2-sided with removal instructions in color on the back) done at Vista after all of the fee. I like the idea of having a separate card with removal instructions for the tatts and airbrushing. When I get into I may just order a separate bunch of cards just to hand out for that purpose.
