I actually have it more often when I'm doing balloons than face painting... but my usual line is "I need everyone to take a giant step backwards." If it's still not enough, let's take one more giant step backwards. It's not mean, just necessary.... and with the balloons, if they're too close still I start bopping them in the face with the end while I'm twisting Wink

Then of course the kid you're painting starts turning green and you wonder what the problem with your paints might be....
