Great Punky! Smile

How'd you do the frog. The angle is throwing me off and I can't figure that one out.

Haha, well don't feel bad, that one throws a lot of people off, it's not the angle, trust me. It really is simple to make, but it looks more complicated than it is.

here's instructions, sorry, I don't have pics for the SBS

1. Inflate green 260 leaving about 3-4 inches of tail (**IMPORTANT: Make a roll-able knot, you will need to roll it out at the end of the sculpture**)

2. make a 2" bubble followed by 2 - 3/4" ear twists.

3. make a 1 1/2" bubble

4. make a 3 1/2" fold twist and push the first 2" buble through the loop so the ear twists sit in the loop of the fold twist.

5. make a series of bubbles consisting of a 2", 1", 1", 2" and twist the 2" bubles together. You should have something that resembles poodle legs and feet. the overall design will not look ANYTHING like the final product yet, don't worry.

6. make a 1" Bubble then make a 1/2" bubble at the END of the remaining bit of balloon and twist these together to form a large loop.

7. divide this loop in half to get two smaller loops.

8. grab the knot of the balloon and roll it out and then pull it and the initial 2" bubble through the 'poodle feet' and wrap it into the two loops at the end.

your end product should look something like my frog posted earlier in this thread.

I've never written instructions for twisting before, but I'll try. I'm a visual learner & when I see written balloon instructions I get all knotted up:-)

LIGHTNING McCUINE:
Fill up a red 260 about 3/4s full

make a 1" bubble & pinch twist it(this is the side mirror)

Make a 4" bubble(this is the front of the car)

Make a 1" bubble & pinch twist it(this is the 2nd side mirror)

Make a 4" bubble & twist it into your 1st pinch twist(front of car)

Make another 4" bubble & twist it into your 2nd pinch twist(front of car)

Make 3 2" bubbles & twist into your 1st pinch twist(this is the body of the car)

Remove & tie off any excess balloon

Fill a white 260 maybe 2"s w/ air(you only need enough air to cover the front of the car(this is the windshield & his eyes)

Twist the knot of the white into one of the pinch twists of the red

Pull the white across the front of the car to look like a windshield & twist the uninflated part into the other pinch twist

Run the rest of the uninflated balloon under the design & twist back into the 1st pinch twist(this makes the bracelet part)

Use a black 260 & barely inflate. Make 2 small bubbles & twist & lock them together

Twist them into one of the pinch twists of the red balloon(they should look like 2 tiny tires)

Push the rest of the air to the other side of the black balloon till it reaches the other side of the car(line up w/ the other pinch twist on the red balloon)

Push the excess uninflated black balloon into the design so you can't see it(leaving out the part that's still inflated).

With the air still in the back balloon, make 2 small bubbles & twist them together

Twist them into the other red pinch twist(these are the other 2 tires)

Readjust so it looks pretty & add eyes to the windshield, a smile to the grill & headlights on the grill.

I hope this all made sense... it's the 1st time I've ever written in balloon

I used to order balloons through "oriental trading company" they sell by the gross pretty inexpensively. (And sell a ton of other things too - *warning* it can be an addictive site and make you contemplate expanding your simple bday parties into festivals with toys and crafts and games and such!)

Very Happy

All my designs previously were 'simple one minute ones", due to lack of talent Very Happy

A dog, a horse, a giraffe - all pretty much the same with varying leg/neck lengths... likewise a sword/wand/snake - all very similar designs Smile

Once again I'm in awe of the talent within this site - only this time with balloon artists cheers

wow I love the gator! you guys are so talented! I taught myself some balloon twisting quite a few years ago - I am now inspired to take it up again. (oops just realized this is from the summer, guess I'm late for this party)
