So I finally got my Snaz walk around pallet and this is my first attempt on my niece. She really liked it so I was happy...

This was the very first face I did using the Klutz book lol I love looking at it and then quickly flipping to something I've done more recently especially when I'm feeling down on myself about my painting. When all I can seem to think about is how far I have to go, it helps to see how far I've already come Very Happy

and don't look at my super crowded old apartment in the background hahaha

Tanya - looks good! If you search for YouTube videos on blending and teardrops you will make it even better! Those are two things I have yet to master, too...

I love this thread, and definately agree it feels so good looking back at the earlier photos and seeing how for you have come, its amazing how your level of appreciation changes too. I remember a few years back my daughter had a tiger painted on her face, I honestly thought it was the best face painting ever, so amazing... I look back now and it is just so so so bad. That too makes me realise that even though I might not think it is so great now, chances are the kid and their parents will love it :p

Heres one I did years and years ago... I though it was ok, she cried when I tried taking her photo and a lot of it ran....

I like to ignore that photo and say that this is my first, it was the first face I painted that lead to a 2 week face paint a day project which started off my whole face painting obsession...

Gorgeous butterfly Daisy! I love all the texture in the blending of colors. Some times we get all caught up in getting the perfect faded blend, but I think it looks sooo cool when it's wispy like yours. Love it!

I'm keeping mine because I want to see the progression. Since I'm so new the only pics I have are my first ones.

My son Ryan and his snake.

My first tiger. My first time painting myself. A Lot of firsts. LOL! I look really ticked off too. I wasn't.

I know they are bad. I have a loooonnnnnggg way to go.
Very Happy

I love the snake on the mouth! Your 1st tiger looks way better than my 1st tiger Very Happy
I got better by practicing sections of designs on my arm. Like, just tear drops, just tiger stripes, etc. Then just muzzles.... just blending..

I am so loving this post. As someone starting out and seeing all these amazing thing you all do I feel like I suck.Smile I know I will get there though. So I got my first small kit of Snaz paint about 2 weeks before Halloween this year. My first few days were spent zoning out on youtube vids and trying different brush strokes. The Wednesday after I got the paints( got them on Friday) a group of my friend and her teen kids were all going to a haunted house so I used them as experiments lol. This is the result. Keep in mind the top pic is like my 3rd face ever and it goes from there.I was aiming for a werewolf and an evil cat(on myself) but I look more like a pink walrus and I dont even know what she looked like.hehehe
