Post your first picture

Funny... I hate just about everything I make... But I keep plugging away. And people say it looks GREAT and OMG! but I know I can do so much better.... I need some new paint i think.... >_>

Wasnt sure where to put this but these are some faces I created just the other day at the gym! A first photo shoot for sure, a good start? I think they are cute, but defintly need work. I think its my paints! AND mostly my technique, I have been hounding youtube watching videos, - placing order this weekend for new paints to. Getting some decent sponges ( i been using black sponges on sticks) and brushes then Im just going to paint anything that holds still long enough! there are so many designs I have seen on here I want to practice. I know I can draw, my hand/cheek designs are just fine. Its the full faces that are intriguing me.
I need to also remember that I wont acquire the artistic talent EVER to create real looking things. I have a cartoony sense, always have had it and it wont change. Not me. I need to accept it, but its soo hard when is ee some of the shading techniques here. so awesome. thanks for looking! i was proud and had to share! i love making the little flowers

You guys are so great!!! I can't believe some of the pics were your first, Here in Germany face painting everywhere looks like the worst in this forum, and also some of the pics look better than my actually faces.

No not at all - actually it was based on a design in one of the first face painting books I ever bought. hmmmm.. what was the title? Does anyone know? The one with the Tiger morph Butterfly on the cover - hardback - Nick & Brian Wolfe were featured in it. I know I have it around here somewhere. LOL

Okay. . .so these are almost my first ones From my daughter's birthday party. . . I think I painted one butterfly and a dinosaur before these. They might be awful, but they got me hooked on face painting

Ooo your butterfly is lovely! I love all the swirlies! you shaded that to?! Ooo Im green now, I couldnt shade at all until I recevied these splitz last week. My pink kitty cat for the 2yr olds look exactly like your kitty- its easiest to paint on a two year old and its soo cute! they have such small faces!
i think you did a terrific job! ...oh you forgot kitty whiskers! lol it still looks fine though

These were mine...just a few weeks ago! hopefully I get better quick, lol (Vampire, Puppy and butterfly in case you were wondering...they chose!)

these are wonderful to! I did a vampire just like that, only I didnt realize to shade under the eyes! fantastic!
Your butterfly is lovely, Im in love with the rainbow cakes, they make just beautiful faces.

Thanks! I remember being so proud of that butterfly, and now it's just terrible I still like to do the mask for kids, especially at birthday parties and things where they are eating. . .that way they don't get messed up as bad.

its defintly not terrible!! Thats the level Im trying to achieve in painting now! lol
