Saphrone! Hi and Welcome!

Can you tell? We are nosy - tell us something about yourself - how long you've been painting - what you love about it - where you paint, favorite venue - what challenges you - favorite paints and brushes - hidden talents - anything.

Have a good one! Happy painting!

I just started I'm in the local Baltimore area. My first party is this weekend" super heros theme" for a friend at my church. I've only been marketing thus far, had a table at our local flea market. That went okay. Any tips suggestion you have would be great. I just love working with children, I have 4 of my own. hidden talents I can sing, lol

Kapital Kidvention jams probably happen in your area, and they post when they are planning on meeting here.

I've not used starblends before, but the general rule is dry skin sucks up the paint and likes to stain. So have them use a moisturizure before you paint, or after you wash and there's a stain left, use some or some baby oil, let it set for 30mins or so, then wash again with soap and water. One of the best tips I picked up around here is to put removal instructions on the back of your business card. It helps give you an excuse to put one in every hand you paint.

Welcome to the group!

Saphrone,

Cool!! I would look at some of the cool mask designs around for that super hero theme for sure. Girls will want their "princess" fix no matter what the grown up decides a theme is for an event or party!

The other great thing about a mask is that if there is food (or just messy kids) the paint stays nicer if it isn't in the mouth area!
Have fun!!! Sounds cool.

Wishing you all the best! Some people really recommend the Pond's makeup wipes and if using Diamond FX/Wolfe I have seen them use the Wet Ones successfully. I always resort back to unscented wipe for first run, then soap water, moisturize, and soap water again if they is still some residual paint.

Keep singing and painting!!!

Welcome!
I use Starblend powders & baby shampoo works well to remove the paint(any tear free shampoo). Put the shampoo on your face & use gentle circular motions till your face looks like a muddy mess. Then gentle wash it off w/ a washcloth(not one you care about because it'll stain it). You may have to repeat. Never press to hard or you'll push the paint into your pores & it'll stain worse.

With 4 children you have enough for practicing.
What ages are they?
Mine are 7 and 11 years old.
The oldest just want some beautiful eyedesigns and the youngest don't like to be painted anymore.
