Re: silly question I know
There are no silly questions, only obvious answers.
Not exactly. I hear they are made at the same factory, one uses beeswax the other paraffin wax. Don't ask which, cause I don't remember.
But for all intents and purposes: Yes.

Re: silly question I know
ahhh! I will have to look into this some more!
I noticed SF only sells WOlfe while everyone else sells DFX so I just wondered. I wonder if the pigments are the same?

Re: silly question I know
I wonder if it's an exclusivity contract sort of thing. The Wolfe twins aren't "with" Wolfe paint and are "with" DFX now... difficult to understand without it feeling all soap-operay. Both are good paints. I might imagine the pigments to be the same, but you never can tell.
At Halloween, when the Scary Ingredients In Facepaint thing happened, I had them send me a MSDS, (No one asked, BTW), but It's saved in my other computer. I know you loves some research!!! Go for it!

Re: silly question I know
I will request an ingredient sheet from both and compare. Will post when I find out!

Re: silly question I know
I was told from the US distributor that DFX and Wolfe are made in the same factory with the same "paint base". DFX has no perfume and comes in a slightly larger container. 30 grams vs. 32.
DFX is slightly less expensive. The have many of the same colors but are diverging a bit now.
Both very good paints.

Re: silly question I know
Same factory. Manufactured by Lucky Art in China.
Wolfe, DFX, TAG and another one I think called VIP or something like that, are all essentially the SAME recipe with slight variations.
As noted, DFX has no perfume, etc. Packaging can vary.
I have used Wolfe (old recipe), Lucky Art samples, and DFX. I don't like them for bases personally but as detail paints they all work really well. I still prefer the old Wolfe White to the others and the new Wolfe recipe... luckily I still have some in my back-up supply!!
