so how is DFX used?

Post by aprilmoonflower on Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:32 am

I was just posting in another thread about my DFX getting goopy. I have heard plenty of people say that DFX is used alot differently than say snaz. How ARE You supposed to use DFX? I tend to use alot less water with DFX but otherwise not sure..

Can someone enlighten the newbie? I want to get more DFX!

Well.... you don't need to add water to DFX to get a gooey spot (which is how I work with Snaz and Kryolan, etc) as it does NOT like too much water. It gets gummy and sticky.

Just a drop of water right before I load my sponge or brush. And it doesn't blend as well on the skin (not like the other brands) so the best way to "blend" is stippling and layering...

However, I'm not using it for bases as I find it too drying.

Suzy, those sound effects are great! You should do that when painting kids. They'd be totally mesmerized.

pisssssshhhhhhu pisssshhhhhu - awesome.
Well done Suzy.
I still don't have the courage to do a video - maybe I'll do a silent one, my Aussie accent tends to make people laugh.
