I can start it off with a tribal-styled eagle I did a few years back

Wow! How long did the stain last? I'm still trying to nail down my husband & do one. I'm thinking something inspired from his LARP Werewolf game.

Here is a tribal dragon (my original design) I did in Jagua

and here is a tribal horse I do a lot of at events (Henna Crone's original design, like the tribal eagle)

Psalmbook, on the back henna lasts about a week. The skin there doesn't stain as deeply as it's a different texture and oilier than hands, arms, feet or legs.

While henna stains will not get as dark on areas of the body with thinner skin, I have found that the stain may actually last longer than areas with thicker skin because the skin is usually softer and exfoliates less quickly. It really all still depends on the individual person, the type of skin they have, and how well they take care of it. I like to tell people, "The longer you keep your skin, the longer you keep your henna.....so take good care of it."
I have had a back piece on a lady last a month. After the paste dried enough on the skin, I taped it up with paper tape and she wore it overnight to get the maximum possible penetration.
She also had very soft skin that she took very good care of, so the skin on her back didn't exfoliate as quickly as say her hands. The same person can't keep henna on her hands for more than a week to a week and a half because she washes them so frequently.

That's what I thought. Five days is the max for my hubby, but he sweats like crazy. I have a 3 week old henna on my feet & it's just starting to fade away. My hands lasted about 7 days & I wash them a lot.

All of those are fab!!
Can we use a photo of one we did a few weeks ago?? Or does it have to be done after the challenge starts??
