Great split cake colors everyone! I am such a sucker for split cakes. I haven't found one that I didn't like.

Hey there BluAng,
I'm the one who came up with 'twilight'. I have some other fun ones that I have been playing around with too. Hope to post pics soon Smile

Awesome names Changing Faces! Naming Split Cakes is almost as much fun as making them. Very Happy Could you list the colors you used to make them too? Thanks!

I saw a video on the dolphin...it's so pretty! I just can't make a rose look pretty. It's going to take lots of practice!

Thank you guys for all the kind words about my splits.

I just kept playing around with them until I came up with something that I thought was different from what I had seen already. I tell you with so many colors availabe to work with the possibilities are endless.

I own about 20 artycakes but I kinda like making my own now... who knew??

I have been converted

Rebecca,

How do you get so little of the black(or darkest color of the cake) on your brush? I have your video and can't seem to grasp this. When I load with 3/4 brush, so much of the dark comes through it muddies the other colors.

Does it have to do with the way your load, anout of water or what.

Thanks for the insight.

BTW, I couldn't find a "Tattoo Blue" cake at Silly Farm.

Re: Mini Split Cake Fun

Post by rebecca on Fri Jun 11, 2010 1:07 pm

hi metina,

i didn't do a dolphin video?

tattoo blue will be offered next month

when you load your brush...just pick up a little of the black..

i use a 3/4 inch flat with my cakes. not a 1 inch. the cases are 1 x 1

so...this allows you to pick up as much or as little of the black as you want

hope this helps?
