It is an Ice Tube Tray, I got both of mine at Walmart and 'tis the season to get them now ; )

Best brush organizer goin! I have my brushes arranged according to size when I go to gigs and put the brushes back in the color on the front of my tray for easy retrival as my brushes are color dedicated for no 'coffee water'. One tray I have to repaint the colors on front (using acrylics) & one has the colors on the front row.

I leave the brushes in the tray that fits down into a box cut to size one inch above the tallest brush to protect them for easy setup/take down. The paints slip into a super thin scrapbook paper holder (walmart $5.), sponges into a decorative box and the tiny stamps, poofers, etc go into a box, my wipes, water & spray bottles go into the tip jar or available space on the side of the tote and I'm ready to go ; )

Hope this helps,
Susan

I got my ice cube tubes at WalMart too. Picked up 2 for less than $10-. Tried it for the first time this weekend & loved it!

I still haven't seen them in my town at the WalMart... but I like my home-made one anyway.

velcro, velcro velcro!!

I velcro just about everything to either my lap top, or a cuting board from the dollar store. and, try to put everything back in it's place once you use it.

i admit that i'm a messy painter! but, velcro really helps me stay organized!

i also use the fat max...and, two laptops placed on the open lid makes a table

this is from risa's site

Rebecca,
I love my fatmax.
FABAIC had someone that velcroed their artycakes to the underside of a dollar frisbee. Two fit in the center & the rest went around in a circle.

I'm a magnet fan myself. I have my paints affixed with little neodymium magnets that allow them to be 'attached' to the inside of my foldover case without falling out. I use magnets to keep my glitter bottles fixed onto of the spinning mini-lazy suzan I use. I'm a clean as you go person because I don't like messiness and I take a few extra minutes to make sure that when I pack up I do so neatly.

Does anyone know where to get a laptop face paint case without a logo or brand name on it?

I use a scrapbooking paper holder from walmart & love it. Everything is velcroed in. It's the clear one in the picture.

Linda - how deep it the clear scrapbook paper case? I saw some at Michaels but it was too deep (about 1 1/2).

AND... wicked quick reply!

It is deep enough to Velcro paradise to both sides if you leave the lids off. Whitney does this w/o a problem & can still close her case. It is not a strong, sturdy case like the laptop from paradise, but it's a lot less expensive & fits way more paints.

I broke down & bought the FatMax a couple weeks ago & now that I've used it for a couple gigs LOVE IT!!! Eliminates the need for a table, yet I still have a few challenges. Not sure how you get 2 palettes on the top, I can only fit one. Looks like you have some sort of extension off the top. I feel like it's a little obnoxiously big, but I can fit virtually EVERYTHING I need in it & get going. My hubby puts it in the car for me, a little heavy, but I'm able to deal with it in/out at the gig. Not that big a deal. Much rather make 1 trip to the car & be able to close up in virtually 2 minutes as opposed to the 10 minutes it was taking me before. (Oh yeah, I got a palette for my paints too! Man, that's absolutely wonderful - closed in 10 seconds as opposed to screwing the tops on each one of my paints before!!) I fought it for quite awhile now, but it was $80 well worth spending + the palette which a friend gave me as a gift!

I have a paradise laptop that I lay over the top of the fatmax(over the open hole area), then the scarpbook paper holder lays over the lid(it does extend past the fatmax a bit). I put the little caddy w/ the handle over the bottom bin(it rests nicely there) & hide my purse under it.
