Punky! I love it! Yes, Shannon, it does remind me of Alien.

I think it's reminding them of the movie "Alien" maybe? I think it looks good... maybe together we can figure out a two balloon one that isn't as much of a pain in the butt as you were describing for this one? Right camp roomie? Wink

Kat, thanks for posting this site, they are great to deal with. My order shipped same day and I got a response from the manager on the same day that I emailed to compliment them on their quick shipping.

I ordered balloons from another vendor in Florida and it took them 12 days to ship my order (15 days total to receive) and 5 days to answer my email and phone requests for shipping status. I wouldn't mind the long shipping if they had let me know, but the fact that they did not respond burned me Evil or Very Mad

What's the best pump to use as a starter?

Everyone has a different preference, but for beginners you'll probably either like the Red (one way) Pump or the Pink and Purple (two way) pump. They are both from Qualatex and are very affordable. I've used the same red pump for over two years now and they sell them at the store where I buy my balloons for $3 or something. I like the red one because it is very precise... 3 pumps for a poodle, 4 pumps for a teddy bear, etc. Some people like the pink one because it pumps faster, but if you stop, the air starts coming back out of the balloon. You don't need anything bigger or powered or anything to start out and see if you even like twisting.

My daughter Angel took just about every balloon twisting class they offered at Fabbulas. I think she is hooked. Shonna ( one of the instructors) said she had a knack for it and could see how much she enjoyed it.

We brought home a very large hefty bag of all the balloons she twisted. She is soooooo proud of herself and it glad that she has something she can do that mommy can't.

I told her if she got down 6 designs ( 3 boys/3 girls) that she could do fast and work on some others, that I would put up a balloon twisting page on the website and start offering it as another service.

Well she is "Over the Moon" to put it mildly
