Ok, so I know the challenge is 4th of July... but for the Canadian members, can we do a 1st of July design?? similar colours.... maple leaves instead of stars....?

Of course! Any nationality can participate and do our independence day or their own. I should have said that. Sorry for my political incorrectness. LOL!

Isn't Independence Day in NL in Jan. ? Oh well, it helps that your flag is the same colors as ours!

I think I will change the challenge to Independence Day Challenge.

Wow! On that day we celebrate Cinco De Mayo in the U.S. Interesting what fun facts you learn on a forum where the members are from all over the world!

Question...
We don't have an Independence day over here in OZ either.
So I thought I would attempt an American one just for the fun of it.
My question is does it have to be red, white and blue in that order?
Can I mix it up - white blue red for example?
Sorry I know it's a stupid question, I just don't want to look culturally inept.

true its said "red, white and blue" but i dont think it really matters in what order, unless you are doing the flag, then the stripes are red on top and bottom, with white between, total of 13 stripes. the upper corner is blue with a field of white stars. If the flag is upside down, its a signal of distress, how is that for trivia?
