Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok, using all snazaroo (white, black, red and in the american version blue). Everything was done with a sponge, liner brush and medium sized round brush.
I wanted to show that the same design could be done for either Canadian or American. So, while the step by step is all the Canadian one, it's basically the same thing for the American one.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Perry, I LOVE the American eagle, I will be practicing that one for my July events. (I like the Canadian one too, but that maple leaf always gets the best of me.)
Great job.

Re: Post Submissions Here!
Starting with a #8 round brush, create the outline or base of the eagle head and use the extended teardrops to create the sections of the wings just above the eyebrow and one section extending down.
Add yellow to the beak area.
Using the #3 round, outline the head, beak and create the eye and then create the effects of layered feathers.
Using #3 round outline the inner sections of the wings and the outer sections with blue adding stars to both sides of the eagle head.
Adding black on the underside of the wing sections for more definition and "viola"!!!
(Wolfe and DFX paints)

Both eagles are awsome!!! Great Ideas you guys!!
Perry, i noticed you brought your beak up higher on the nose as suggested in the constructive feedback topic, do you like it better?

Re: Post Submissions Here!
yeah, the beak definitely works better.... I'd do more blending of the colours if it were just a bird for whatever, but doing the flags, I kind of had to have a clean transition between the colour changes.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
Ok, here is mine...
Single eye design for 4th of july!!
I used DFX Metalix white, blue and red, and paradise white!!
I used a sponge for blending and a #4 round for the stars, and a #2 round for the outline one the stars.
Hope you enjoy!!!

first I sponged on metalix white to the eyelid and surounding eye area.

then I used a #4 and paradise white to two lines thin to fat from the eyelid and filled in between the lines.

Then I did the same as step two but down from the arch of the eyebrow.

then I took metalix blue and drew a line then faded out with my brush and a sponge.

do this same method with red in between the white markings.

then with a #4 round put on stars and dots.

finally, outline stars and white design with metalix blue and add lots of glitter. And there ya go!!

Sorry the red did not show up in my final picture, as you can tell I was having problems with lighting the entire time.
Re: Post Submissions Here!
I find that (if your camera has it) the 'text' setting produces the best pictures of facepaints, it really brings out the design and smooths the background, so if you have a spotchy skin day, it helps that appearance. It's a win-win setting!! lol. My camera in a Kodak Easy-Share Z series...I wanna say Z1012... I'm not 100% positive though... more like 95%.
