Another reason not to use the white cosmetic ones, they are made of latex and alot of people are allergic to latex.

That's why I haven't let myself go to Michael's in so long, even though it's right by the gym - I DON'T need more brushes! I already have backups for my backup's backups...

Psalmbook wrote:Car wash sponges are the way to go. Great density. $1.00-$1.50 each & you cut them into the shapes you need. You'll get a ton of sponges out of just 1!

I thought I was going mad when I had thought about getting those from my supermarket to cut up, now I won't hesitate! cheers

Hahahaha Bekah.

Yesterday I found a diamond shape sponge, I am going to try to see if it works with rainbow cakes. I think is perfect for butterflies.

"Smooth as buttah" Oh man this cracked me up - too funny! Laughing

I bought car wash sponge from Woolworths when I was getting the groceries - and chopped it with scissors - def not as fun as an electric knife sounds!

My favourite sponges are the ones in the forum shop - love those sponges so so much - thanks Metina! I love you

Sorry for digging this up again, but what say you all about using makeup wedges for starblends? I used them at my last event and they did pretty well. I'm mostly asking about the sanitation of using them over again. I hand rinsed them with ivory soap and then put them in the washing machine on hot. I let them air dry after that. They were fairly inexpensive, so I don't mind tossing them since I recently got in some triangular swabs to use with the starblends, but the sponges feel so nice on the skin.

I use the disposable makeup wedges for starblends all the time. I love them. They cover large areas FAST!
