This whole thing just upsets me & I live No where near there. My 19 year old daughters wanted to go to the gulf to help with the wildlife rescue, but were told, don't come, we don't need you.

Where are all the "Save the Gulf" concerts?? Where are the TV benefits with celebrities/musicians giving heart felt speeches on the poor fishermen, wildlife, beaches, loss of income and sabotaged gulf economy?? I find it strange how these people (including our own government) are so quick to help Haiti and other... countries.
Not even BP is doing the right thing......Not that I expected them to....they screwed up in the first place & now they are heading the clean up?.....WTF?

What I don't understand is why on earth are they not letting the people working on the cleanup wear respirators? Did you know that almost all of the people who helped clean up the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska are now dead? Their expected lifespan was somewhere in the upper 50s!

And now they are saying just stay indoors and you'll be fine. What a load of crock! People are getting poisoned; and not just the ones working to clean it up.

And what happens when the hurricanes start to hit? All that oil is going to be spread through the middle of this country; not just the gulf.

OMG! I could go on and on and on. Those poor poor animals!

Alright, I'm gonna stop. I'm getting upset.

This entire incident in sickening.

Hurricane season is coming up so soon and it will affect so much more area by then. Is it correct to think that even the rain in those areas will now be poisonous?

I think some of the politicians are wanting to back off of BP because everyone will realize that our government was asleep at the wheel. Yep, they did it by having crappy business practices, but we allowed it to happen.

We need accountability. On all sides. To fix this and to prevent this from happening again.
