Old thread about palettes (empty)

Post by cassandra on Sat Jun 26, 2010 10:40 am

Does anyone remember where that old thread is about empty palettes. The thread turned into a very informative comparison about palette cases that are available.

I am in the market for one now. I already have two Mehron cases and I love them but I don't have 12 empty Paradise containers to put my paint in. I can't justify buying 12 paradise paints just so I can use the case either. I don't really use that many paradise colors.

I have plenty of Diamond FX and Snaz empties.

If anyone has empty Paradise containers, let me know. I'll pay shipping! If I remember correctly, the Mehron cases came up the best in the comparison. That's why I hesitate about buying one of the others.

Don't limit yourself to just FP pallets because there are lots of others and they aren't all from the art store ; )

Ok... I found that old post. It re-convinced me to stick with the Mehron case/palette. Having a uniform setup will have a more professional appearance anyway. Here's the thread...

The foam insert with the finished surface is an important detail to me. Now I just need paradise containers. Does anyone out there have empties they are willing to part with? I am willing to pay $0.50 cents per container and postage too.

I might have a few empty Paradise containers. I transferred all my paint to one larger palette. Haven't cleaned the containers out, but let me know if you're still interested. I'll have to check my supplies and see how many I have.

Thanks Lori. I decided to go with the empty DFX palette since i have a lot of DFX containers. Metina was kind enough to check the finish on the foam insert and confirm that it was the smooth type. I'm hoping it is the same size as my others.
