Items in July Newsletter

WOW! I just realized I am behind in putting up the past newsletters. I will get these out this week.

For the last newsletter, I wanted to explain how I determine what goes in the newsletter.

In general, my intention was to at least include the 1st prize winners since most challenges only have one winner. This one had two and I could only get the photos from one in time. I included a few in the notable section that had merits as well, like a nice take on one element or a really nice design that might work in other colors as well. You see, I want to give everyone a chance to shine for their contributions.

While I would like to include everyone, the only guarantees are the 1st place winners, (one of the co-winners was out of town until the 2nd so I couldn't even include hers). But I know past newsletters have included all of the winners. The reason for this is that sometimes I can't get other contributors and this time was able to(Thanks Clayton and Margie!).

I know if I only put challenge winners in, regular visitors to the forum will unsubscribe to the newsletter since the "have already seen them all."

I feel guilty every month when really nice designs don't even get one vote. There have been a couple of times where I thought "WTF", but I don't control who gets votes.

I hope this offers some clarification. Please feel free let me know your thoughts on this.
