Your tiger is beautiful! Do you always put on your head-dress before you paint? (It is very cool, by the way!)

I do them myself its kind of easy to do and less expensive than buying them already done.

I plan to do some black and orange one for Halloween.

Hmmm I could, as its really easy to do but I don't want a go into that business.

You can go to

http://ikickshins.net/

There you can order a already made one (you can pick the colors, choose to add foam etc...) or you can order the mats to do it yourself (check the tutorials on that website and I can give you advices for that).

But if you want to do it yourself you can buy the crin (main mats of the cyberlocks) for half the price than ikickshins there http://www.tatumribbon.com/

oh yes I almost forgot. To be able to wear dreads or cyberlocks falls, you have to have your hair long enough to do 2 pigtails turned in buns. Because its tied to your buns. If you have short hair forget about it.

Dreads are really beautiful, but really heave it can be painful (REALLY) for the scalp.

There is really good tutorials that tells you how to wear them :

Huummm sorry Shannon I can tell just watching the pictures, those just looks bad. Its ok to maybe go to one party. But if you want that they look great, they have volume, they have the WOW effect, they last long... you have to go to the high quality.

And the one from sparkles designs are really far from cyberlocks or dread falls.

Its like Face Paint... you have the cheap ones at Walmart... and the good brands that we use.

Frankly, they all look pretty much the same to me.

They are things with lots of dangly parts that people wear in their hair...

Depends what people are looking for I guess.

Anyway, I was just providing the link... no vested interest.

No offense Shannon I just react the same way with hair pieces that I will with face paint.

Some people will tell you that all face paints looks the same for them... that's about it.

Crazy Hair Vs Dreads

Post by ColorMeGen on Wed Jul 28, 2010 11:06 am

Wow..... I thought Ms. Yoko's post was a bit harsh but I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion. But keep in mind, I too have dreads which you refer to in your posts that can be "painful (REALLY) for the scalp" as you put it and I do pop a couple of asprin before I even dare put them in but those beautiful dreads cost almost $200. My crazy hair is a LIGHT (= no pain!), CHEAP ($10 not $200) alternative that is still fun and cute to wear. May not be your thing but I don't see how you can compare the two.

I wear them all and I love them all - some people spend a fortune on shoes or pocketbooks....my thing is hair pieces and I will spend $300 on a piece I love but when I plan on wearing hair to paint all day long, a piece that will get me noticed and will be fun for the kids I grab my $10 crazy hair peices every time (and I've worn my hot pink ones to almost every festival I've done for the last 3 years, they are my lucky pair...so they last more than one time considering I do a lot of festivals).

Thank you Shannon for the link to my shop. Here's a video I created to show how they go into your hair and to showcase my inner geekiness - perhaps the latter was achieved more : )

Hi ColorMeGen,

As you say

"May not be your thing but I don't see how you can compare the two. "

And the first question was about the Cyberlocks which are really light to wear, then for me Shannon was kind of "Out of Topic" with your link.

No offense but I just don't like the 10$ one and its the reason I do my Hairpieces myself. Smile
