Jacksonville Jam Aug. 9th 5:30-8:30

The next jam will be Monday, August 9th 5:30pm-8:30pm at Golden Corral 2450 Soutside Blvd Jacksonville, FL 32216. Kids are welcome! Bring your paints & be prepared to jam!

Do you guys Jam once a month? I'm from Orlando and can't seem to find anything similar around here. If you do it once a month, i'll be in Jax in early September for the clown convention. Do you happen to know the date of the September Jam if there is one?

Yes, once a month on the 2nd Monday. Same location. We'd love to have you join us! This will be our 2nd event.
There's also a 2nd one in Jacksonville starting on Wednesdays by Sherry from FunFaces. I'll have to get her to post the details.

What exactly is a jam? I'm so excited to find out there is one nearby!

How did it go? I hope you guys had a blast and painted up a storm!

A Jam is where a the face painters in your area get together & paint. You learn a lot of new techniques, etc. It can be in someones home or at a public location(preferably w/ a lot of kids).

The jam went well, but because of being mid-August a lot of people are on vacation. It was fun & we gave Jerrie a chance to practice her demo for her Vegas class.

I'm not sure how to get the other painters in our area to come. I've sent out email blasts & advertised on all the forums & put up fliers in the Costume Shops that locally sell face paint.

You never know (unless they RSVP) who isn't booked or not takin' care of the family so they can come to the Jam, so don't be discouraged by the head count because sometimes you can have the most fun sharing at light speed at small Jams ; D

Good to know. I'm gonna keep plugging at it & it was a success in my eyes:-)
I want to get enough people that I'd feel comfortable trying to get some of the big names to come & do classes once in a while...
