Face painting that can last for 2 days?!

Post by Judy on Mon Aug 02, 2010 12:16 am

I happen to stumble across this website that proclaims that "Our face painting designs can last up to 2 days". What the heck?!

What's everyone else's experience?

interesting.
without washing maybe? why would you want it to last 2 days and what the heck would it look like by the end of the second day?
I have painted my legs before - practicing - and then put my pants on over it and forgotten about it - the next morning when I go to have a shower it's still there - the clothes take off the top layer but it stays put, no smearing or smudging - so I suppose it's possible - but whenever I have let my daughter go to sleep with it on most of it is on the pillow case in the morning and her face is a mess.
So maybe - with no sleep AND no shower.
I have noticed that my face paint holds up sooooooooo much better then my make-up though.
Maybe they are painting with Tattoo ink - affraid

No face paint I know lasts for 2 days & I always tell parents not to leave it on overnight(it'll ruin the pillow & all ladies know they never should sleep w/ make-up on).

I went to pashurs workshop last Tuesday and without rubbing and taking really good care of it, I had my rose still painted on my arm...Everyone thought I had gotten a new tattoo! Obviously I used wolfe and DFX which are some of the stronger stuff, right?

We had a parent tell us that their boy refused to wash it off and kept it on for a couple of days - but I would never suggest to anyone to do that, nor make any kind of statement like that.

I wonder if Lucid Arts gave permission for them to use the pink butterfly picture they have in their photo gallery? I've had that pic saved for some time in my "inspiration" folder, it is lovely.

Dude, it looks like even some of the Henna stuff may not be theirs as well! looks like photo stock pics. Also makes you wonder if other pics in her fp gallery are taken as well!

The Canadian flag/maple leaf one on their front page slideshow is an Istock photo. I guess if they paid to use it, they can use it, but if they didn't paint it themselves it's misleading.

I was considering dropping a line to Lucid Arts to ask, you just never know if they did give permission.

I wouldn't want to use someone else work on my site, even if it was a stock photo. I agree, it would be very misleading. Makes me wonder about the testimonials.....

Diamond/Wolfe can last two days if it doesn't get wet. But it will fade a bit. Normally it will last best on arms/legs and not so much on the face - guess it is more oily. But I always tell my costumers they should remove it before bedtime and that it don't look good the next day. And in the face normally it will not!

It's an Istock photo. Here's the link:

You can pay to use these... but it's not right to make it seem that it is their own work.

Judy,
This is the same company that advertisers every hour on kijiji in Calgary. I wanted to advertise my services on kijiji, but the ad for fantasyfaces is there so frequent, that you don't get a chance to stand out. Instead of paying the $5 to keep their ad on top, it is posted so many times it is ridiculous. I only ever post my own art work, and now I have to wonder if they are even advertising their own designs on kijiji too (since they seem to take photos from iphoto and use lucid arts).
