Neon Palette
so I bought the dfx neon palette. and i have no idea what to do with it. Any design ideas for me?
Re: Neon Palette
To be honest the first thing I would do is make rainbow splits out of it - I go through a 50g one of those every 3 weeks with all the neon tigers and butterflies.
Mine is Tag but they are basicly the same. Then you can do something like this maybe?

Is that what you meant?

Re: Neon Palette
Use it. You can add neon on top of regular to add some pop. Do designs in neon instead - neon pink cats are HUGELY popular. Make a split for neon rainbows - many uses.
Re: Neon Palette
I'll multi load my sponge w/ neon for tigers, butterflies & mask bases. Black lines look great w/ neons & under black light cancel out the glow making your linework pop.

I love your Neon results! Would you please share a photo of your split cakes?
Also, do you sponge or use a brush?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Neon Palette
I find neons(at least the dfx) don't work well w/ a brush. They tend to get that streaked look because of their consistency. I like sponging much better as the colors are bolder.
Re: Neon Palette
Hey Tash, thanks for posting pics or your rainbow designs. Looking at your pics I finally realized why I wasn't all that jazzed with my neon cake and the way it would come out....but I could never really pin point ezactly what it was that was bugging me until I saw your pics especially the first one.
That first pic was the look I was trying to get. I kept saying the order of the colors in the pic to myself and looked at my DFX cake...and bingo!!!!! My pink was not in the right place ....well at least not for me. So I cut the pink out and moved to the outside of the purple and Voila!!!
I now am in love with my DFX neon rainbow cake where I was only in like before.

Re: Neon Palette
I use a sponge - like Linda said I have the same problems with a brush - the paint comes out to wishywashy no matter how much I load.
This is what it looks like -

I buy it from here - http://www.alwayswickedart.com.au/pages/rainbow_paints.html
She ships internationally if anyone wants to buy some Tag - as far as I know it is the same as DFX.
